Tori Avey’s Passover Recipe Collection: Traditional Seder Dishes
Shalom! You have just discovered one of the largest collections of authentic Jewish Passover recipes online. My name is Tori Avey, I am so happy you’re here. I hope these delicious recipes bring joy to your Seder table.
I launched my website in 2010 as a way of documenting my cooking journey. On this site I explore the foods of the Mediterranean, as well as Jewish cuisine and culture. I was first introduced to Jewish cooking when I met my husband, who was born on the Mediterranean shores of Israel. As a convert to Judaism, I became deeply immersed in learning the traditions and food ways of the Jewish people – my chosen Tribe. Passover cooking became one of my favorite challenges. I began collecting Passover recipes from family and friends, and eventually developed my own. Over time my website grew, reaching millions of home cooks around the world. I am proud that families in many different countries have integrated these recipes into their own Passover holiday traditions. You can learn more about my culinary story here. Learn About Passover
The Jewish holiday of Passover (in Hebrew, Pesach) commemorates the exodus of the Jews from slavery in Egypt. The holiday is ultimately a celebration of freedom, and the story of the exodus from Egypt is a powerful metaphor that is appreciated not only by Jews, but by people of other faiths as well.
